Russia shows readiness for talks on Ukraine conflict but continues military operations, citing European support for Kyiv.
Moscow: (RightNow) Russia expresses willingness for talks to resolve the Ukraine conflict but announces continuation of military operations in Ukraine. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov states that due to European support for Kyiv, Russia will maintain its special military operation.
Peskov, in a daily press briefing, mentioned that Russia is ready for negotiations. However, as European countries support the Kyiv government, Moscow will continue its special military operation. He claimed that Russian forces are making positive progress on the battlefield and the situation is encouraging.
The Kremlin spokesperson said that contacts between Russia and the United States on the Ukraine issue remain, but there has been no significant progress in resolving the conflict. He noted that communication with the U.S. continues through existing working channels.
He further mentioned that it is hoped American negotiators will visit Moscow after their engagements to initiate direct talks between the two countries.
It is noteworthy that Russia adheres to the policy of nuclear non-proliferation, asserting that every country should have the right to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.
