Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif encourages overseas scholars to aid in Pakistan’s development, highlighting the government’s reform agenda.
Islamabad: (RightNow). Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with scholars participating in the ‘Uraan Overseas Pakistan Summer Scholars Program’. He emphasized the importance of youth in national development.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the scholars are interning for six weeks under the Ministry of Planning and Development to research Pakistan’s challenges. The Prime Minister welcomed the decision to intern in Pakistan.
Prime Minister Sharif stated that Pakistani students in prestigious global universities are making the nation proud. He briefed on the government’s reform agenda and answered scholars’ questions.
Shehbaz Sharif highlighted that the country was near default in the past but achieved stability through urgent economic reforms. He stressed the importance of increasing revenue and improving productivity.
It is noteworthy that federal ministers, the Minister of State for Finance, national education and vocational training, and senior officials from relevant institutions also attended the meeting.
