Former AJK PM Sardar Tanveer Ilyas’s convoy attacked, bodyguard killed. Search for attackers continues.
Muzaffarabad: (RightNow) Former Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan’s convoy was attacked at Tain Dhalkot, resulting in the death of his personal bodyguard.
Sources report that unidentified individuals allegedly targeted the convoy, aiming at the former Prime Minister’s vehicle, leading to the immediate death of bodyguard Muhammad Asif.
According to government officials, following the incident, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan canceled his visit and decided to return to Rawalpindi. The search for the attackers is ongoing.
The incident has caused concern in the area, with a sense of fear among the public. Security measures have been tightened following the attack.
It is noteworthy that Sardar Tanveer Ilyas is the former Prime Minister of AJK and the President of the Stability Pakistan Party AJK, who was on a two-day visit to Rawalakot.
