Islamabad: (RightNow) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has welcomed the $440 million agreements between Pakistani and Chinese companies. He stated that China has always supported Pakistan in difficult times.

Addressing the Pakistan-China Pharmaceutical B2B Conference in Islamabad, the Prime Minister highlighted that these agreements signify a strong partnership between the two nations. Shehbaz Sharif called China a reliable partner for Pakistan.

He further mentioned that his recent visit to China was highly successful, and this investment marks a significant step towards the development of CPEC (China-Pakistan Economic Corridor) Phase 2. The Prime Minister also praised the investments made under CPEC Phase 1.

The Prime Minister appreciated China’s support for Pakistan on international forums and attributed China’s economic growth to President Xi Jinping’s leadership. According to him, China has now become a prominent global power.

It is noteworthy that the recent regional crisis has affected the world, and Pakistan has played a crucial role in establishing peace. Islamabad Memorandum was signed under Pakistan’s mediation, and China also cooperated in the mediation between Iran and the USA.
