Beijing: (RightNow) China and Pakistan advocate for an immediate ceasefire between the US and Iran, urging the resumption of talks. Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar met Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Shanghai to discuss regional issues.

According to the Chinese Foreign Ministry, both nations emphasized the necessity of restoring diplomatic ties for regional peace and stability. They stated that all parties should adhere to the memorandum of understanding, as dialogue is the most effective way to resolve differences.

The Foreign Ministry further stated that the US and Iran should choose dialogue over force. Pakistan and China are eager to play a constructive role in regional stability.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi remarked that the peace agreement was hard-won and should not be wasted. This agreement is crucial for regional peace.

It is noteworthy that Ishaq Dar and Wang Yi also discussed enhancing cooperation in CPEC II, trade, investment, and artificial intelligence. Both countries talked about matters of mutual interest.
