New Delhi: (RightNow) Over 100 scientists from India’s space agency ISRO have resigned, causing concern. The government has tightened resignation approval rules.

Attractive offers and positions from private companies are seen as major reasons for the resignations. ISRO scientists find better opportunities in the private sector.

The Indian Department of Space has made resignation rules stricter, stating that no scientist can easily leave their job. Every resignation will be sent to the central government department.

It is noteworthy that ISRO Chairman V. Narayanan does not consider the situation alarming, stating that employee turnover is normal.

ISRO employs over 14,600 people, and the departure of 100 scientists could lead to a loss of experience for the agency.
