Oil Companies Advisory Council warns of petrol shortage impacting the economy, urges immediate government intervention.
Islamabad: (RightNow) Oil companies have warned that the risk of a petrol shortage in the country is increasing. They have appealed to the government for immediate intervention.
According to the oil companies, the country’s petrol reserves are only sufficient for 15 days. This situation has become exceptionally severe.
In a letter to the Minister of Energy, the Oil Companies Advisory Council stated that if immediate actions are not taken, petrol supply could be affected.
This situation could negatively impact the economy, as a petrol shortage would affect transport and other sectors.
It is important to note that the country is already facing a financial crisis, and delays in the clearance of imported petrol are also a significant issue.
