Over 32,000 applications received for 31,000 computer science seats in Karachi’s first-year admissions.
Karachi: (RightNow) Interest in computer science for first-year admissions has surged in Karachi. The growing trend of artificial intelligence and modern technology has drawn students towards computer science.
In the city’s 156 public colleges, over 32,000 applications have been received for 31,000 available seats in computer science. Director of Colleges Karachi, Gulab Rai, stated that there has been a significant increase in the popularity of computer science.
Teacher organizations revealed that many colleges lack modern facilities, which could pose challenges for students. Computer science faculty is present in 50 colleges, while 26 colleges have been provided with new computers.
This situation is significant as the admission process for the first year will continue until July 15. The growing interest of students is expected to bring a major shift in the field of computer science.
It is noteworthy that the increase in computer science popularity is due to the rising use of artificial intelligence. This will create opportunities for students in the technology sector in the future.
