The National Assembly Committee has raised concerns over mobile service quality nationwide. The Federal Minister highlighted fundamental issues and indicated 5G as a sign of improvement.
Islamabad: (RightNow). The National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Information Technology has expressed serious concerns over the quality of mobile services across the country. The meeting was chaired by Aminul Haq, where members openly criticized poor service in various cities.
Committee member Mahesh Kumar stated that the mobile service situation in the country has become extremely poor. According to him, conditions in Punjab are not better, and the situation in Sindh is even worse.
Sadiq Memon reported that call quality in Islamabad and Karachi is unsatisfactory. In Karachi, some networks provide extremely poor service.
Federal IT Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja said the issues are fundamental. She noted a significant increase in data usage in Pakistan, while average consumer spending remains low.
It is noteworthy that the PTA Chairman informed the committee that the authority is conducting district-level service surveys. The quality of service is expected to gradually improve with the launch of 5G.
