Azad Kashmir, Preparations Complete for Timely Elections Amid Resistance

Azad Kashmir government has completed election preparations, while resistance from the banned committee continues, affecting supply routes.

Muzaffarabad: (Right Now News) Azad Kashmir government spokesperson Chaudhry Guftar Hussain stated that elections in Azad Kashmir will be held on time. He mentioned that all administrative and security preparations for the elections are complete.

The spokesperson accused the banned committee of creating obstacles that have disrupted the supply of essential goods. He claimed that women and children are being used as human shields.

Chaudhry Guftar Hussain asserted that the government cannot be blackmailed. He warned that if any untoward incident occurs, the banned committee will be held responsible. He described the committee’s behavior as anti-state.

It is noteworthy that under the agreement of October 4, 2025, 38 demands of the banned Public Action Committee were accepted. However, due to the committee’s anti-state objectives, it was declared illegal.

The spokesperson noted that for the past 36 days, food supply in the Poonch division has been affected due to the sit-in. Efforts to reopen roads have faced resistance and gunfire.
