Trump claims heavy bombing on Iran while CENTCOM states Strait of Hormuz is open.
Washington: (Right Now News) U.S. President Donald Trump has claimed heavy bombing on Iran. He stated that Iranians have a sick mentality and attacked despite an agreement.
In an NBC interview, Trump further mentioned that Iran talked about closing the Strait of Hormuz, but according to CENTCOM, it remains open. Trump refrained from escalating the issue out of respect for Lindsey Graham.
The U.S. Central Command has stated that the Strait of Hormuz is open for maritime traffic. Iran does not control it, and U.S. forces are prepared to ensure the safety of navigation.
CENTCOM asserts that the Strait of Hormuz is open under international law, and Iran’s baseless aggression and threats are harassing.
It should be noted that the Strait of Hormuz is a global trade route, and its closure could impact international trade.
