Lahore: (Right Now News) LESCO’s officers in grades 18 to 20 have lost their free electricity units. They must now pay electricity bills like ordinary citizens.

Sources have revealed that this change comes after nearly 30 years. Previously, these officers received thousands of free units, which are no longer available.

With the end of free units, LESCO officers are receiving hefty electricity bills. An SDO received a bill of 72,000 rupees.

This move is causing discontent among government employees. They state that the burden of paying electricity bills is now strongly felt.

It is noteworthy that other DISCOs have restored free electricity through courts, but LESCO officers are demanding a uniform policy.
