Islamabad: (Right Now News) The federal government has increased the petrol levy by 15.86 rupees per liter. Following this hike, the petrol price has reached 310.71 rupees per liter.

According to figures, without this increase, the petrol price would have been 294.85 rupees per liter. Until July 3, the petrol levy was 64.14 rupees.

On July 4, the government raised the levy by 6.22 rupees and on July 11 by another 9.64 rupees. These increases have brought the levy to 80 rupees per liter.

The rise in petroleum product prices will increase public expenses. This move could add to the economic burden.

It is noteworthy that changes in the petrol levy rate are part of the government’s financial strategy to mitigate the effects of global markets.
