Quetta: (Right Now News) The Meteorological Department has forecast monsoon rains in various districts of Balochistan. Heavy rains with thunderstorms are expected on July 7 and 8, which could pose a risk of floods and landslides.

According to the Meteorological Department, moderate rain is expected in Zhob, Sherani, Kohlu, Naseerabad, and Duki districts. Meanwhile, heavy rains are anticipated in Harnai, Loralai, Sibi, Barkhan, Musa Khel, Khuzdar, and Dera Bugti.

Authorities have stated that this monsoon wave will affect the upper and central regions of Balochistan. There is a risk of landslides in mountainous areas and water accumulation in low-lying areas.

The Meteorological Department has urged citizens and travelers to avoid unnecessary travel. Special caution is advised on mountainous routes and low-lying roads, and to check the latest weather updates.
