Islamabad: (Right Now News) The Federal Constitutional Court has rejected the request to immediately reopen Monal Restaurant. During the hearing on the CDA’s review request, the federal government supported the decision to demolish Monal Restaurant.

The court raised questions about the Supreme Court’s decision. Justice Hassan Rizvi stated that according to the Supreme Court, animals have rights but humans do not. The court pointed out that Monal’s lease case is pending in civil court.

Monal’s lawyer argued that the Supreme Court ordered all pending cases to be resolved. Justice Hassan Rizvi questioned why the relevant parties were not heard in the Supreme Court.

The Additional Attorney General stated that the new Wildlife Board law came into effect in 2024. All lawyers agree that the Supreme Court’s decision should be annulled and the case should proceed in civil court.

It is noteworthy that the closure of Monal Restaurant has been controversial since the Supreme Court’s decision. The case hearing has been postponed until the second week of July.
