Gilgit-Baltistan: (Right Now News) The Election Commission has halted election results in 5 constituencies of Gilgit-Baltistan and ordered re-polling at specific polling stations.

Chief Election Commissioner Raja Shehbaz stated that re-polling will occur at certain polling stations. He further mentioned that final results for these constituencies have been postponed.

Polling was conducted from 8 AM to 5 PM, and vote counting is underway. Results will be announced after the re-polling.

This decision affects some polling stations in JBA 8, GBA 13, GBA 15, GBA 16, and GBA 17, where re-voting will take place.

It is important to note that the Election Commission has instructed returning officers not to release results and has prohibited the opening and counting of postal ballots.
