Islamabad: (Right Now News) The government has reduced the petrol price, but the levy and various margins remain a burden on the public. According to official documents, the ex-refinery price of one liter of petrol is 235.37 rupees, while the consumer price is set at 377.78 rupees per liter.

Official documents reveal that a total of 142.41 rupees in levy and margins are being charged per liter of petrol. This means that consumers are not receiving full relief.

A petroleum levy of 116.08 rupees is being charged per liter of petrol, while a climate support levy is 2.50 rupees per liter.

The diesel price has been maintained, with the Petroleum Division stating that no changes have been made.

It should be noted that new fuel prices for June 2026 have been announced in the United Arab Emirates, which could affect global market prices.
