Islamabad: (Right Now News) Due to a decrease in global crude oil prices, there is a possibility of a reduction in petroleum product prices in Pakistan.

Sources indicate that petroleum product prices may decrease by more than 20 rupees per liter, with reductions expected for both petrol and diesel.

According to a private channel, market sources have reported that the ex-refinery price of diesel has decreased by 31 rupees, and petrol by 8 rupees 54 paisa.

The ex-refinery price of petrol has dropped from 277 rupees 6 paisa to 268 rupees 52 paisa, while diesel has decreased from 322 rupees 28 paisa to 291 rupees 37 paisa.

Following news of a potential agreement between the US and Iran, global oil prices may decrease further, positively impacting the national economy.

Sources state that the final decision on petroleum price adjustments will be made by the government. The Prime Minister will decide in consultation with the economic team, considering revenue targets.

It should be noted that in the past, the government provided relief to the public following a decrease in global oil prices. If the government does not increase the levy margin rate this time, the public could benefit.
