Lahore: (Right Now News) The increasing use of solar energy by the public in Lahore region has ended the daytime power shortfall.

According to sources, the electricity demand in Lahore is 2300 megawatts, which matches the available quota, eliminating the need for daytime load shedding.

LESCO sources have stated that at night, the electricity demand rises to 3 thousand megawatts, while the quota is 2600 megawatts, resulting in announced load shedding of one to two hours in cities and four hours in rural areas.

LESCO sources expect the situation to fully improve in a few days.

It is noteworthy that the increase in solar energy usage is considered an excellent solution to mitigate climate change effects and meet energy needs.
