Kuwait City: (Right Now News) A journalist in Kuwait has been detained for posting a video of a U.S. aircraft crash.

Kuwaiti journalist Ahmed Shahab was arrested after sharing a video of a crashed U.S. fighter jet in Kuwait City six weeks ago.

The Committee to Protect Journalists states that Ahmed faces charges of spreading false news and endangering national security, often used to silence journalists.

The incident gained significance when U.S. Central Command reported that Kuwaiti air defense mistakenly shot down three U.S. F-15E jets.

It is noteworthy that two days ago, a U.S. aircraft was destroyed in an operation against Iran, and the U.S. conducted bombings in the same area.
