London: (Right Now News) UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has demanded Lebanon’s immediate inclusion in the ceasefire. He stated that significant work is needed to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

Sir Keir Starmer welcomed the US-Iran talks in Islamabad, emphasizing that diplomacy is the right path to achieve a sustainable ceasefire. He further stated that the bombing in Lebanon is causing a severe humanitarian crisis that must be stopped immediately.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has stated that weeks of destruction and unrest have made it clear that there is no military solution to the current Middle East conflict. He has supported the resumption of negotiations.

Antonio Guterres further mentioned that ceasefire violations must cease immediately, and the freedom of maritime navigation, including the Strait of Hormuz, should be respected according to international law. He stated that no toll should be imposed on the Strait of Hormuz.

It is noteworthy that the UK, along with France and other partners, is working on forming a broad coalition to protect free navigation. The US President has stated that any attempt at military intervention in the Strait of Hormuz and the Gulf of Oman will fail.
