Chitral: (Right Now News) A complete ban on the use of plastic bags has been enforced in Kalash Valley to ensure environmental protection and cleanliness of tourist sites.

Plastic bags contribute to environmental pollution, obstruct drainage, and disrupt natural systems. This ban has been imposed under Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code.

Kalash Valley is a significant tourist area, especially during the Chilam Joshi Festival, when a large number of tourists are expected. Therefore, the sale, transportation, and storage of plastic bags have been prohibited.

The ban is effective immediately and will remain in force for 60 days. Legal action under Section 188 will be taken in case of violations.

It is noteworthy that this initiative aims to preserve the natural beauty and environment of the area, and all citizens and tourists are urged to cooperate.
